Claude DEBUSSY – La cathédrale engloutie | Organ Transcription | Raphael Attila Vogl | Garden City
Claude Debussy’s La Cathédrale engloutie tells the legend of a cathedral rising from the depths of the sea before slowly disappearing beneath the waves again. This organ transcription was recorded at the magnificent Cathedral of the Incarnation beneath the immersive art installation Gaia by Luke Jerram. The setting felt especially fitting: the monumental image of our planet suspended above the nave echoes the work’s themes of emergence, mystery, and the relationship between humanity, nature, and the sacred. As the “sunken cathedral” rises through Debussy’s music, the presence of Gaia adds another layer of reflection and wonder. Performed and arranged for organ by Raphael Attila Vogl

J.S. BACH | Duetto No. 2 in F Major, BWV 803 | With Third Voice | Raphael Attila Vogl, Organ
Just like Max Reger's arrangement of the Inventions by J.S.Bach, I composed a third voice to the Duetto No. 2 and created a trio structure. Stylistically, it was inspired by Reger, incorporating chromaticism but with greater thematic development, including inversion, syncopation, and ornamentation.
